comment Is possible to Chain-Activate Pearls of Power?
I think that "accidental activation" was written for non-combat scenarios, where standard actions can be accidentally used all the time.

comment When are unexpected events “Too much”?
So much emphasis on "use traps sparingly": many 3.5 games I've been in have been spoiled by the paranoia induced by the DM trying to catch you out with unexpected pit traps.

AP = Adventure Path?

comment Smaller bolter patterns?
Warning: given that Astartes technology is generally not well-understood in terms of our conventional sciences, I'd be wary about taking a discussion about the physics of bolters too far.

comment Smaller bolter patterns?
I'll be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Astartes bolters had intentionally more recoil: there's an extra mention in the Deathwatch rulebook for an optional DM rule that enforces extra penalties on 'unworthy' wielders of Astartes guns. Mere mortals are supposed to have problems with bolters anyway, so you're right in that making the weapon smaller doesn't solve everything -- it only makes the gun fit in puny hands better.

comment Can a PC “loot” a dead monster's corpse?
"Treasure, as a component of character, scales greatly with character and is worth very little outside that context." It might just be me, but I am having great trouble understanding this sentence.

comment Ogryn's trait “Auto-stabilised” from Only War to Rogue Trader
If the older version was unbalanced or needed revising within Rogue Trader, I'd expect it to be updated in the Errata. But it's not, so I think this is a case of keeping the versions seperate.

comment What do you do when a player intimidates your campaign boss to surrender?
+1 for alternative solution also, but agree that while the GM is always right, directly opposing a PC's plan as well as the RAW is often a quick way to ruin the fun despite your intentions.

comment How To Divide Up Loot?
Short-sighted, selfish characters are perfectly fine in campaigns, how else would you describe the group's rogue?

comment How does one become a god?
Not having watched any Doctor Who, that TvTropes link doesn't seem to explain any kind of godhood; could you give a better example?

revised What are the essential design features of a combat system that make it scalable from single combat to mass warfare?
expanded description of Horde rules and Critical Damage: the author's point remains unchanged but now contains more information for those who don't know of the game
