comment Using Mage Hand to hold up a cloak and grant concealment
To quote from hidden club, "If, at ANY TIME, you lack at least Cover or Concealment from an enemy, you lose Hidden against that enemy". Line of sight means no concealment, sorry.

Agreed. There'd also be issues with holding up loose cloth with one Hand: it'd all hang from one point so wouldn't present a very large area to hide behind. But there are ways around that so ultimately it's workable for concealment, just not easy and not useful in many scenarios.

comment Are there any rules or guidelines for creating original magic items and rituals?
I have no issues with telling my group 'no you can't have that item/ritual because xx', I'm just a little surprised that 4E hasn't made an attempt at covering this. Given that there are rituals for becoming a lich, along with numerous lair-building items and rituals, it seems like 4E is missing an opportunity here. I'm sure my group doesn't mind any of this, but as the GM I love making my world as simulationist as possible so it looks like I'll have to come up with some house-rules...

comment How does Monk's unarmed strike interact with powers requiring two weapons?
If I'm not mistaken, the Monk's Unarmed Strike doesn't necessarily have to use his hands--it also covers things like kicks and headbutts and generally impressive martial arts. So, can you wield two 'normal' weapons and also have access to dual-wielding Unarmed Strikes?

comment Monster Manual 1 - Is it balanced? Should I balance it?
If I'm not mistaken, Solo monsters have been altered the most from their original MM1 forms, with reduced HP and daze/stun handling. Most Standard and Elite monsters I'm happy taking as-is from MM1, but MM1 Solos always have to be compared against similar level MV Solos to see what changes to make.
