In a Neverwhere style game how do I keep players connected to the surface world? While kind of a 'duh' moment, this is something worth pointing out, and what I was looking for. I was falling into pitfall of designing the underworld but not designing much on the surface. Aspects are good to tie the characters to the surface but they can change and the surface can lose importance quickly. Also asking for players to come up with what makes the surface interesting is good for tying the characters but not in hooking players themselves. |

In a Neverwhere style game how do I keep players connected to the surface world? As I mentioned to the @Phil, I'm looking to get the players connected emotionally, not just how to have mechanics that represent the characters connection. |

In a Neverwhere style game how do I keep players connected to the surface world? This is what I normally do. I'd like to find ways to get players themselves more emotionally involved without leaning on game mechanics. However, doing this give a paper answer, which is good for good character players, but not so good for others. |

In a Neverwhere style game how do I keep players connected to the surface world? Not closely mimic, but superficially similar (pushed from real world to Neverwhere) yes. |

How can I deal with a “goof-ball” player in my WoD group? So he antagonizes the NPCs in game, yes? And probably doesn't have much regard for the story? |

How can I deal with a “goof-ball” player in my WoD group? What type of goofball is he? Is he disruptive? does he like to joke a lot? Does he just not take the game seriously? Is he self centered? There are lots of types of disruptive behaviors, and if properly channeled they can become productive instead of destructive. |

Neverwhere game with Dresden rules OH! You mean the show Misfits. That I've seen! It's not a bad idea, having a handful of power brokers as opposed to anyone just being able to trade powers with each other. |

Neverwhere game with Dresden rules I've not played Misfits. How do they trade powers there? Neverwhere doesn't really talk about trading powers, but I'm more drawing on other fantasy like Stardust and Dead Inside where you can. If you haven't watched/read Neverwhere, I recommend it. |
