What are the most effective ways to protect a character against critical hits? @JonathanHobbs Statistically speaking, that's not enough rolls. |

Did piracy problems bring down White Wolf? Piracy only rarely inhibits sales, and in a niche market like this probably doesn't effect them at all. Like with most media, most pirates would never have bought the books to begin with. It almost certainly translates into more sales. It certainly did in my own case. I downloaded the entire D&D 4E set of books as PDFs and since then have acquired about 25 books legitimately and subscribed to DDI. I wouldn't have taken the plunge otherwise. (also bought all of the dungeon tile sets and most of the map packs and several of the power card sets.) |

Systems giving XP based on roleplay - How to avoid jealousy/party balance problem Specifically about Shadowrun. If your party is cohesive, all on the same level, and everyone survives more than a few sessions; you are doing it wrong. Shadowrun works surprisingly well with long-running players standing next to just-born characters, and the less the party trusts each other and everyone they meet, the better. At least in my experience. |

Star System Summary Sheets This book is amazingly well organized along these lines. Also, it is a hell of a resource for RP The one big missing set of stats is population, but this aims to be 'timeless' so population as a fluctuating stat wouldn't fit. |

How can I build open-ended questions into a scenario in a GM driven world? Remember, just because the GM knows the answer, doesn't mean he has to tell it. Rolls and Gods willing, the mystery of life will remain so. |

What challenge ratings can my party handle? @KRyan You could improve the answer by offering an alternative method. Presumably once you know your monsters there is some metric that can be used to estimate their strength. That or you can list the top 10 overpowered and underpowered aspects of monsters and some of their counters, which can help give other DMs ideas on specifically over/under powered monsters to toss at their party. Like you did for Allip and Tarrasque. You gave plausible cases where either can be used in the 'wrong' situation to great effect for the players. |

How does 'Warp in the Weave' interact with moveable area-effects? @ObliviousSage That's your opinion. DM your games however you like. That's my point. Every possible answer is represented on this. From every point of view. I can easily see this from all the angles presented here. |

How does 'Warp in the Weave' interact with moveable area-effects? @ObliviousSage But it does do both of those things. From the D&D 3.5 version "A permanent stinking cloud dispersed by wind reforms in 10 minutes." this implies that a normal one can be dispersed by wind. "Sustain Minor: The zone persists until the end of your next turn." And in 4E you must magically sustain the spell to avoid it from dissipating. Same concept can apply to most zones, they are heavily skinned as after effects that can be sustained with magic, but otherwise operate by physical rules. |
