comment How does 'Warp in the Weave' interact with moveable area-effects?
@ObliviousSage That's your opinion. DM your games however you like. That's my point. Every possible answer is represented on this. From every point of view. I can easily see this from all the angles presented here.

@ObliviousSage But it does do both of those things. From the D&D 3.5 version "A permanent stinking cloud dispersed by wind reforms in 10 minutes." this implies that a normal one can be dispersed by wind. "Sustain Minor: The zone persists until the end of your next turn." And in 4E you must magically sustain the spell to avoid it from dissipating. Same concept can apply to most zones, they are heavily skinned as after effects that can be sustained with magic, but otherwise operate by physical rules.

@SimonWithers They don't apply, she wasn't my mount, I was grabbing onto her and riding along. In fact, nothing stopped her from then taking a mount herself.

Favorite kill with my Pixie: Un-shrinking a toothpick sized javelin after flying into an Orc's mouth.

comment When do 4e Monster powers (with the recharge ability) recharge?
One important thing to note is that, like everything else, it is up to the DM's discretion to follow the rules or not. It is perfectly acceptable to consider the roll numbers a rarity number and just use the powers accordingly in the way that best suits the drama of the battle.

comment Can you start your turn when you're dead?
@SimonWithers I had trouble understanding what this question was about and the comment above was intended to help people like me 'click' onto what this is all about. Consider it a clue.

comment Creating solo monsters
Example: In my last game I had my players fight a giant hermit crab. I included a few minion piles of crabs for flavor, and made it so overwhelmingly strong that running was the only really viable option, save for tactics. This fight took place on the edge of a cliff with a tiny dangerous path, inviting the solution of using the path to get out of range, and hitting it with ranged until death. (which would be boring, so once they all got in position, the crab fell over the cliff, the battle was solved)

comment Creating solo monsters
The absolute best advice in that whole chunk of text was the line: "or even simply ignoring HP, and allowing the monster to die only after at least 2-3 turns of being pounded on" but remember. NEVER LET THE PLAYERS KNOW YOU DID THIS! Be careful with bloodied, make sure you give it to them at the 50% mark. If they smell the rat, you'll never be able to use a solo again without stating the HP upfront.

comment Creature death and save conditions
Let's look at the reverse condition to find the answer: The text, if it applies to dead creatures that never made their save, would extend forever. There is no range listed and no time limit. Notice: You don't have to STAY within 10 squares of the creature to keep the bonus, just be within 10 to cast. So if death doesn't end the bonus, then you'd keep the bonus... Forever.

Once you hit negative your bloodied value, you are dead. Not dying. You can't do anything while dead, and that includes this power.
