comment Preventing saturation in a horror campaign
'Don’t provide the CHARACTERS convenient ‘home bases’ (such as a room with a door they can lock) to sleep or heal in, where they can control their safety to turn off threats' Some great horror (Night of the Living Dead, Assault on Precinct 13) is about having a safe place become unsafe. Providing places that seem safe but become traps to be forced to escape from can be really terrifying.

Great answer, but that the meme 'began with the fearful “28 Days Later”', is decades off; what would Romero and Russo say? Lots more source material to draw on.

comment What do you do when a player intimidates your campaign boss to surrender?
+1 for "I would require the player to role-play the intimidation though." In this case, depending on the quality of the RP, I would have the boss surrender or have it just make him madder. Or have the quality of the RP decide the amount loot the party will get.

comment What use is a car, with no infrastructure?
For inspiration, have a watch of Evil Dead: Army of Darkness, Ash ends up in medieval times with a car. Back to the Future part 3 also involves a car out of time.

@SevenSidedDie that is an awesome. Really useful for a burgeoning GM.

I remember reading somewhere that auto-success stops odd things happening like taking 20 to jump over the moon.
