comment Beyond hit points: injury in D&D
Yep, the hard part is keeping the flavor consistent. It's easy enough to say the ogre's heavy attacks are tiring a character out. It's harder to make that work with an acid attack or even a crossbow bolt. Plus, it's hard as a DM to narrate the first half of the battle as mostly bloodless.

Wait, so are you asking if a fighter, not trained in endurance would get the temp hp from the battlerager power? If so I'd say yes... you wouldn't get the invigorating temp hp of course but the power is still has the keyword even if you don't qualify for the bonus.

comment What's the maximum number of minions for an encounter?
Some solid reasoning Bryant. I'd only add in to keep in mind minion interaction. Some minions gain bonuses based on how many others are round. This can snowball very quickly if you aren't careful. The flipside is true if you send the minions in waves. Waves of minions are often worth half of what groups are worth.

comment Advantage to normal multiclassing in D&D4?
My thoughts exactly. I'd love to multiclassing handled more like themes are handled in Dark Sun. The power swap feats are dreadful and almost unusable, and Hybrid characters only work with with some classes. For example, a wizard/psion would work fine as no one minds giving up staff mastery, but a rogue/monk would be just horrible despite obvious synergy. Themes, on the other hand, provide a lot of flexibility in design without requiring 4 feats and MAD.
