comment What systems contain Multiple Caster or Combined Casting rules?
@Nigralbus Indeed there are, pp129, "Group Rituals". The short is that "[It] is handled like any other action where characters combine their efforts...". This does not work for my system.

comment When exactly do “once each round” effects work?
@TimLymington - if you found a way to have that many actions in a round, yes. I don't see why you wouldn't damage both targets.

comment When exactly do “once each round” effects work?
@KRyan - Then why would it have the bit about "(or any creature you grapple) on your turn"? If I grapple a creature with this spell effect on, does it not take damage the turn I initiate the grapple?

comment Dungeons and Dragons 1 hour game advice
Don't. Unless you can guarantee your players will always be on the ball and in-character/participating, one hour is just long enough for everyone to arrive, chit chat for fifteen minutes, settle down and get into character, recap from last game, and then have maybe 15-20 minutes before getting derailed by table chatter, and then packing up and leaving. In my experience, if you can't run at least 3 hours don't bother running DnD.

comment How do I make a story based campaign revolve around a megadungeon?
+1 for option (b). I ran an extremely successful campaign in the style of Diablo - the city on the surface was 'civilized' and as they ventured further underground the walls became older and older, the cities larger and larger but buildings shorter and shorter (to account for urban anti-sprawl, that is building upwards instead of outwards). All manner of funny.
