comment How to upgrade Pathfinder Beginner Box games and characters to Pathfinder Core Rules?
@StuperUser We wanted switched by around level 2 or 3. About four games in, and the players were saying "This is nice, but we want more options." So by 5 when we ended, the DM broke out three copies of the core book, passed them around and the rest was a two year campaign of being complete badasses.

comment Force Missile Mage: Overpowering Missile vs Reflective Shield?
I don't think the class designer took into account having two FMMs duking it out though. Overpowering Missile places the effect on the spell, and then Reflective Shield takes it away, even though it would not do such a thing to a normal Magic Missile spell? I dunno on that front. Good point that Reflective Shield isn't actually a Shield spell, though. Not entirely sure why I thought it would be a similar effect.

comment How can I optimize a factotum?
Why can I only give a +1 to this answer, and not a +10 or +20? As comprehensive as they get, covers a wide range of things and explains the points. Very nice work.

Holy eye failure KRyan! Took me a full fifteen minutes to get through that. +1 for detail and a point by point analysis.

Though I disagree on the notion that damage-deal spells are 'bad', I agree that they are generally not the optimal way of doing things. I do agree, however, that Rouges should max UMD - not only is it a good skill, Rouges should always have options - wands give lots of options. Magic Items give similar options. Investing in a few items that have 3/day or 5/day on a spell or two each is usually a mix of cheap and effective, and you don't have to wear them.

What level are you? Is not carrying magical items a character aspect, or just because you haven't acquired any good shininess yet? Tbh, to hear of a Rouge that isn't loaded to the gills with options is a bit strange to me. I suggest carrying lots of wands around, with various different spells in them. Wands are light, limited in spell level ( i.e. no significant magic auras ), and can give a Rouge a lot of options.

comment Tips for keeping track of NPC stats and conditions
Depending on how good your handwriting is, I found that simple 3x5 notecards are extremely useful. Blank side is a picture or description, lined side is stats ( finding 5x3 cards is harder, but works better ).
