comment Is it appropriate to punish a player who snatches thing from under the other players?
+1 this. On first reading the question this came to mind and I'm glad you addressed it. RPGs are games for fun, not games for manipulation or control. We learn and practice social skills during. Passive aggressiveness should not be one of those skills.

comment How do I turn a NPC undead in a way that maintains all their abilities, feats, etc.?
@gatherer818 thanks. I do like the conciseness of the edit, but not the part where it doesn't give credit to KRyan for the correction.

This is how I read the rules as well, but I acknowledge that I've only gone so far as the PHB and DMG. +1

comment How can I secretly notate which squares on a combat map are traps?
+1 excellent call. I had casually assigned the kobolds eidetic memory, unwittingly, and this answer drew that into sharp focus. Plus, the symbol system is something the players can actually interact with--a big plus over what might seem like "blue lightning from the sky."

comment The players focus too much on NPCs and ignore the plot, what do I do?
+1 my party fled the Spider Slayers by dropping in on the Fantastic Four. Next time we went to them for help, only Johnny was there. Busy people doing busy stuff!
