comment What is a “common metal”?
Hmm, you're not thinking about what the wording implies. Uncommon metals aren't mentioned, which means they wouldn't block detect spells at all. Is that really what you'd want?

comment Does a ring of feather falling work for any height?
Well... technically it would trigger an infinite number of times, since there are an infinite number of distinct 5' intervals in any distance greater than 5'. That aside, this is basically the interpretation I'd go with. :P

-1 You can make magic items at lower CL, and the ring specifies CL 1. A ring with CL 7 would cost 7 times as much. Also, I think the OP is interested in the RAW, and this answer mostly ignores that issue.

@Dakeyras RAW they'd take the full falling damage if Feather Fall expires, but I think that's pretty clearly just an oversight in the wording of the spell.

Might want to mention that interpretation 2 would allow darkvision to work on a shadowdancer.

comment Optimized “Coordinated Charge”?
Well, a cavalier with +10 BAB will already have 2 bonus teamwork feats. :) However, the BAB prereq means they couldn't use their tactician ability with it until 17th level at the earliest. (Though I guess taking a level of Fighter/etc would let you do it at 10th!)

comment In RAW how can I manipulate animal's attitude while magically speaking with them?
@Julix It depends on what the initial attitude of the creature is, which is somewhat up to the DM. Diplomacy is not a skill you need to use every time you interact with someone! You only roll it when you try to change their attitude.

comment How does Phasing interact with the Z-axis?
@okeefe The problem here is not explaining how phasing works, but adjudicating what actions are possible within the game framework.

D&D is hardly alone in this -- this particular wrinkle is often ignored in, like, every SF show ever. :) See further the TV Tropes article on intangibility
