comment How reliable is the d20 PFSRD?
Yeah, as someone who wrote an answer to the other question, I can't agree that they're duplicate. I would have written a very different type of answer to this particular question.

comment What's so bad about Seeker anyways?
The question was why Seekers are mechanically bad, not why someone would play one.

comment Combining Swordsage and Broken One Substitution Levels
It doesn't really make sense to ask this question -- since it's not part of the existing rules, what should answers be based on? If a DM agrees to allow this combo, they're probably going to ask you to lose something in return, but that's entirely up to them.

comment Does Casting a Spell with Somatic and Material Components Require 2 Hands?
I don't have a citation to hand, but look for rulings on whether wizards can cast spells while holding a staff in one hand.

comment How do I remove a poorly-designed rule without my players feeling cheated?
@SevenSidedDie I care a bit more about the practical ramifications, than the effects in an ideal promised land where players are perfect. :D

Player paperwork becomes DM paperwork when a player loses their sheet. Which in my experience happens about 1 out of 3 sessions. :(

comment Do all spells require an attack roll?
@BESW the fireball spell itself provides a good example: "If you attempt to send the bead through a narrow passage, such as through an arrow slit, you must "hit" the opening with a ranged touch attack, or else the bead strikes the barrier and detonates prematurely."

comment What exactly does Paizo consider Product Identity
"The PRD's Open Content declaration only specifies that rules included within are open ... at no point does it actually state the entire text of PRD is Open Content." -- although, the OGL requires them to "clearly identify" OGL material, which would include all the text from 3.5 that's carried forward. If the term "rules" doesn't include such text, would they then be violating the OGL?

comment Do I lose Reaping Mauler class features when I get Enlarged?
@mxyzplk I'm genuinely curious how you think this answer differs from mine (other than the inclusion of the source quotes).

comment What is the optimal way to gain energy resistance?
The rules compendium has nothing -- it repeats the same terse text as the SRD.

comment What is the optimal way to gain energy resistance?
I'm not so certain "varying effects" was intended to include spells like resist energy. You can make the argument that it was intended to resolve situations where the effects could not overlap; the use of the word "irrevelant" kind of implies this. I'm able to find scores of internet flame wars about this, but not any official guidance. It's possible the rules compendium has something?

A ring of wizardry (II) would double your available spell slots for cheaper than a single ring of resist 30.

What does summoner mean here? It's also unclear if you're aware of the spell resist energy, which you could trivially have running a lot of the time.

comment Harvesting parts from slain creatures
The names of many poisons kind of imply that you could harvest them from creatures (purple worm poison, lich dust, etc.) Nothing in the RAW that I know of to support this.

comment How does the Still Spell feat work?
The bit about your finger is just a description of the somatic component. The Still Spell feat trumps this, and you can target spells even if they're purely mental actions.

comment I want to run an RPG inspired by Monáe's 'Metropolis' concept series
Sure, but you must know from hanging around this site how great a variety of games there are out there. For instance, if you wanted to actually play a consistent character, I don't think Microscope would be a good fit.

Do you not care what type of game you play in the world?

@GMJoe No, not that I can find. (It's not under the sections that discuss components or redirecting.)

comment Touch Spells; Cast, move & attack in one round?
You only get the "free" attack the round you cast the spell; the line that gives you this free attack is "In the same round that you cast the spell, you may also touch (or attempt to touch) the target." The section on holding the charge has more details about your question.

comment How are 4e elves different from 3.5e elves?
Surely this isn't so much schizophrenic as it is taking direct cues from Tolkein, whose elves were all those things! Much like human folk, the race of elves has a great deal of cultural variety.
