D&D Hall of Fame:

Singhi's 3.0 campaign - started at 1000 xp, vanished into nothingness at 2995 xp.
Paolo's 3.0 one-shot - too much DMPCing.
Luca's 3.0 campaign - started as a CoDM-PC, made a PC shortly after. Still no level ups.
My 3.0 campaign - aborted three rooms from the end.
Marco's 3.5 7-PCs-campaign - aborted for scheduling problems. Still no level ups.
Marco's intro to RttToEE - gave DMing right to me after 2 sessions. Arbitrary leveling up between those.
My 3.5 Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. TPK'ed at level 8/9.
Marco's 3.5 all manuals campaign - aborted for excessive PC firepower. Guess what.
Marco's 3.5 random characters campaign - aborted after less than 10 minutes of play.
Pier's 4e Keep on the Shadowfell - gave DMing rights to me before I could level.
My 3.5 Expedition to the Demonweb Pits. - Completed!
My 3.0 City of the Spider Queen. - Completed!
My 4e Keep on the Shadowfell. - Completed! Kavu's 3.5 Daemonfey campaign
My 3.5 Expedition to Undermountain

comment How can I encourage role playing in a custom setting?
As someone I know used to say, "If you play a game where telling some map coordinates and announcing a roll is all it takes to be able to move to the next issue, describing how that attack is dealt will look like a great loss of time". That's especially true if combats are long and if roleplaying out of combat feels more natural to the players.

(While I'd say points 3 and 4 could very easily have been separate questions, it looks like you forgot about them)

@Kryan I believe I'm Italian too. Benvenuto sul sito IssamTP e anche se questo fine settimana ci sarò poco passa per la Role-playing Games Chat che prima o poi mi trovi. (Transl.: Welcome, I'll be around, links to the chat, yadda yadda)

comment Are there any good alternatives to the Move Silently skill, preferably magic or spell based?
Any zone of silence is probably too suspicious to remain unnoticed, and this makes it a bad stealth aid.

comment Creative Problem Solving Combat System Suggestions
@Ardavion DW is out for free in its entirety so you can actually read it all without buying anything. The new mechanics focus on the DM needin to announce dangers (with soft moves) before dealing damage, players gaining something even if they fail a roll, which is an incentive to keep doing things. The lack of turns makes it possible to think in terms of fiction (no action economy) and you can't roll if you don't take your risks in fiction. Also, your rolls are never just a pass/fail with no other consequences. A fail is not just "I don't hit", it's a "I put myself in danger".

comment Creating a Wizard at high levels: How many Spells should he know?
Worth noting: If you must fill a wizard's book, it's better to buy a Boccob's Blessed Book. It holds 1000 pages of spells and copying into the book costs nothing (which more than mades up for the book's cost)

comment Binding agreements to items
By RAW, the goddess of magin in the FR setting has it so each Wizard must have a different arcane mark and duplicating someone else's has dire consequences on him. Might be a good thing to import on your system on top of Arcane Mark.

comment What happens if I combine Ur-priest and prestige class to exceed 10 effective spells-per-day level?
@ArleCamille on a quick note a single level of Swashbuckler at level 1 does the trick (+2 base fort, all the class skills you need).

comment What's the nicest way to handle lycanthropy when it comes to XP?
You're not replying to the question, that's focused on the mechanical repercussions of level adjustment and monster HD over XP. -1

comment What's the nicest way to handle lycanthropy when it comes to XP?
It not only is 3.0, it was designed for a different system (Gamma World IIRC) and hastily adapted to D&D.

comment DnD 4e Books to get (errata? where to get?)
@BrianBallsun-Stanton no real need. I just wanted to be sure Jelle understood why, even if s/he thinks the question isn't a duplicate, it's not a good question for our format anyway.

comment DnD 4e Books to get (errata? where to get?)
@Jelle I suggest you to look at the question Brian linked. If you still have questions, look if they're somewhere on this site first. If not, please ask them separately. Start from Related questions in the sidebar ;)

comment DnD 4e Books to get (errata? where to get?)
@BrianBallsun-Stanton I feel like this isn't an exact duplicate, because it asks other things like how to distinguish between expansion material and errata, where to find errata and so on. I agree that each question should be made indipendently and most are probably already here in our search engine.

comment Can I skip reading the Red Box?
The same way DMG has outdated rules, MM was replaced by Monster Vault.
