The real problem is that rule 0 allows you to override the working rules too.

comment What is this player planning?
@JonathanHobbs "in possession" doesn't actually means "in his hands." It means "no-one else has had the weapon with himself for 24 hours". It's meant to avoid someone from grasping the weapon and impeding your recall since now it's "his" weapon.

It looks to me that anchoring only works with a melee attack.

comment How can I play dumb?
@Lohoris "HEY! I HADN'T FINISHED YET", if said with a menacing look and coming from an half-ogre sure looks menacing and might convince someone to let him think for a while.

comment What role-playing games should I pick for an absolute beginner group?
Sure! DW features a mix between moves that have long term consequences, like the AW ones, that are used to make the events snowball and to make the story ...and short-term moves with no long-term consequences except for the strictly mechanical "you deal/take some damage". These moves don't seem aimed at creating an interesting fiction, they seem to be there "just because it has to look like D&D".

Be careful. DW is good but certain powers still pull the game in different directions. If you're not looking for fantasy, Monsterhearts, the Regiment or Apocalypse World (being all different hacks of AW, DW included) have better focused rules on what you want to obtain from the gaming experience.

comment Single player games suitable for session preparation
Keep in mind that if the players know everything they could have their PCs make the right decisions to unfold the story. Bad if they're playing to win, good if theey're playing to tell a story.

comment How do I role-play as a dragon?
I think you missed one point. Dragons in D&D are opportunists. They hatch with non-dragons for the sole purpose of having lesser beings guarding their treasure and that's true even for good dragons. Other than that, I think hoarding treasure is a status symbol amongst dragons. They don't actually use it except for sleeping over it, but they can boast its value to other dragons, provided they have a bigger hoard.

comment Is casting the spell Blood Transcription an evil act?
@mxyzplk in 3.5 the rules also say a paladin cannot be in the same party with an evil creature. One of the two players is bound to change his PC if they want to continue adventuring. Has this been changed in PF? If not, I guess we have our problem riiiight here.

The spell is called Awaken but I seriously doubt any sane DM will let your animal take class levels and still adventure at your side (unless you take him as a cohort).

+1 for "communicate limitations before they spend energies on character creation"

comment Repercussions to DM-mandated limit on books allowable for characters?
Oh I've seen the "new mechanichs change the whole system" thing. Once you get your hands on a Shadow Cloak (teleports you away before you get hit 3/day) and some way to kill your opponent in one turn, everybody's looking for ways to improve initiative or silence you so you can't use the cloak. The shift in tone is dramatic. from bold warriors fighting dragons to agile assassins backstabbing people.

comment Does a creature take damage from Wall of Fire if it is moved before its turn?
@ErikBurigo Sorry, I misunderstood your comment. I thought your wizard was delaying to push/pull/slid an ally out of the spell's effect, instead of hitting villains.
