@KRyan this is because intiating is a D&D keyword and not the common word for "starting", right?

comment Are there rules for sacrificing living creatures for personal gain?
As a side note, there's also a weapon enhancement that only works if people are sacrificed to it

comment In which book does Tordek mention a “+3 weapon”?
I know it's not the best answer, and I wouldn't have asked it if someone didn't sugges me to, and I'm sorry for the wild goose chase but hey, this is not what too broad is for. It's probably just a question to be left unvoted.

Of course, that's why all this looking for weapons didn't bear (or beard, since we're talking about dwarves) any result.

comment Ways to boost a low HP character in D&D 3.5
Magic item compendium's amulet of tears also adds some temp HP every day. I've seen it used to buff regular horses, I can't wee why not using it on a wizard.

comment Are there poltergeist-like undead in D&D?
Just a guess on why: whis is trying to solve the problem behind the question (and I applaud you, because this looks like a new player with not much understanding of the system's possibilities and confines), but it doesn't answer the question itself: "Is there a low HP, invisible undead he can command?"

comment Are there poltergeist-like undead in D&D?
There's a somewhat high chance that a monster actually called poltergiest exists in D&D and that its abilities are very different from those you want. For example, was it modeled over Castlevania poultergeists or over Pilgrim Jaeger ones, it'd be too powerful for a low level clercic to command. You'd better ask us for some requirements without a name or clearly stating what's your references (e.g. "In classical undead tales, P. are weak invisible and mischievous undead - on that line, I'm looking for..."). Also remember that invisible is not the same as incorporeal in D&D 3.5e

Animal companions are not magical beasts. They are animals.

comment How do you tell someone you think they are cheating?
What I wanted to convey is that, if the player goes for the "next game, I want to DM" he needs to pay some special attention (I happened to have a DM who changed the rulings and my character building assumptions made for a bad character)
