D&D Hall of Fame:

Singhi's 3.0 campaign - started at 1000 xp, vanished into nothingness at 2995 xp.
Paolo's 3.0 one-shot - too much DMPCing.
Luca's 3.0 campaign - started as a CoDM-PC, made a PC shortly after. Still no level ups.
My 3.0 campaign - aborted three rooms from the end.
Marco's 3.5 7-PCs-campaign - aborted for scheduling problems. Still no level ups.
Marco's intro to RttToEE - gave DMing right to me after 2 sessions. Arbitrary leveling up between those.
My 3.5 Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. TPK'ed at level 8/9.
Marco's 3.5 all manuals campaign - aborted for excessive PC firepower. Guess what.
Marco's 3.5 random characters campaign - aborted after less than 10 minutes of play.
Pier's 4e Keep on the Shadowfell - gave DMing rights to me before I could level.
My 3.5 Expedition to the Demonweb Pits. - Completed!
My 3.0 City of the Spider Queen. - Completed!
My 4e Keep on the Shadowfell. - Completed! Kavu's 3.5 Daemonfey campaign
My 3.5 Expedition to Undermountain

comment What skill would you use to determine a scent?
@psr in the D&D 3.x environment this is not a good idea. The game designers had a similar idea at the beginning of 3E. Historically, players were supposed to put a rank here and a rank there, but some players started specializing, putting all their ranks in the same skill. What happened then was that GMs (and game designers) had to increase DCs, or those players would have been able to auto-pass checks (which is still possible but requires more investment). Now, players need to invest lots of points per skill if they want to take a shot at the DCs, and who doesn't is just not getting chances.

I've incorporated some discussion from the comments.

comment What happens when Detect Magic is used upon something that is magically invisible?
I'm working by logic, by just looking at the spell's description on the SRD. Invisibility never talks about concealing any aura. Invisibility is a spell, so it has an aura. Detect Magic lets you see auras, which are not made invisible.

comment Are there ways to avoid a token's drawback?
To me that bolded sentence only means "no, I remind you you can't protect yourself in any manner. Because it's a drawback, you know."

comment Does armour weight halve when you wear it?
@Vatine I'm talking about the rules. In the game, it's easier to carry a complete armor than to swim or run in it.

No need to be sorry or to thank, especially in comments. As impersonal as it might seem we try not to turn them into a forum-like discussion. But of course you're new here and given time you'll be learning this site's ways. When you get 20 reputation you'll be able to join the (way) more informal Role-playing Games Chat, though. ;)

comment My starting players miss a lot against enemies
Yeah, I'd expect the barbarian to start with a 18 Strenght, or at least a 16, not a 14.

@SevenSidedDie Holy fire is always active once you got it. You get it if you want to have a damage that bypasses fire resistance/immunity (most probably you get it because you wanted some other benefit of the PrC and you get this as well) and the wording just prevents the ability from actually reducing your damage output in the case you regularly use flame blade-like spells.
