I was lucky enough to have started programming when things were simple. My first language was c64 basic when I was a kid. After gaining access to my local university's VAX, I picked up dcl, c, and pascal while learning about networking, it was an exciting time, when the internet existed, yet still before http. Since then, I've spent much of my career in c++, java, c#, and objective-c, various scripting languages - the lot - awk, sed, perl, python, csh, ksh, bash, ruby, etc. I do much oracle dba work, security work, I've used too many web technologies to count, and for the past 5 years I have done quite a bit of work with computer vision, video analysis, and streaming. I enjoy stackoverflow!
