My RPGs are collaborative storytelling. I love conversation scenes and emergent settings. I'm interested in the influence of environment (at the table and in the game world) on play.

USEFUL/INTERESTING LINKS: Worldbuilding & the Okapi's Butt; Making the Tough Decisions; goblin dice; abstractions are leaky; print-&-fold minis; Paradigms of Play; papercraft dice tower; consequences as positive currency (Fate); Making Superman Truly Invulnerable (Fate Core); Rick Neal's essays (DFRPG); Level 1 Equivalent Damage (4e); improved skill challenges (4e); No Such Thing as D&D; Same Page Tool.

You will often find me in the chat; come on by!

CURRENT RPG HABITS: Our major game is a serial campaign about Weird Stuff using Atomic Robo rules, interspersed with single-session games in other systems. I'm the primary GM, but everyone takes a turn sometimes.

CONTEMPORARY GAMING: Mostly games like , , and , but occasionally we run , , , , and . I'm experimenting with game design, too: a FAE hack about holy werewolves, and a unique system inspired by My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

GAMING HISTORY: Started in and . Dabbled in , , Dresden Files Accelerated (playtest), /The Princes' Kingdom, , , , and Stargate SG-1.

CHARACTER NOTE: Never short on Opinions and overambitious Ideas. I want to play a shulassakar and a musteval, and I have an elaborate SG-1 campaign I fear I'll never get to run.

My avatar is "The Bookworm," by Carl Spitzweg.

revised Do you have to reveal your NPC's aspects?
Grave marks can make browsers go squiffy, no need to risk that for aspects.

revised Do you have to reveal your NPC's aspects?
Grave marks are for code; they make some browsers go squiffy when used casually.

revised Are there any documented rules about owning vanity pets in D&D?
Criticism of the querent's chosen system/playstyle isn't helpful or relevant.

revised What is a good Modern Fantasy investigative system?
I *think* the querent didn't mean to imply a game which switches between traditional fantasy and modern-day settings.
