comment Is there a psionic power that can cure the victim of decerebrate?
Och, and let's not forget that True Mind Switch is a little bit TOO expensive (10 000 xp), while the question was about the ways to psionically cure this condition cheaply

There is no need to switch minds for THAT long - True Metabolism has the manifesting time of 1 round, and duration of 1 minute/level. All you have to do is just manifest it and concentrate on regrowing the brain stem. Through yeah, you could also trade bodies with your big-buffy-fighter-buddy so that he's alive again while you're both alive and strong, mentally and physically 8)

I'd call it a good sport for the player to both FOLLOW this particular vulnerability and find his way AROUND it. Even if DM is totally okay with letting it slide, making your own character invent a way to negate this "gotta touch the ground" requirement will surely give additional flavor to the roleplaying aspect of the game

I think, there are ways around this limitation. For example, securing a rope around yourself and letting it touch the ground (your boots count, the rope should too) - or using a spell akin to Tongue Tendrils from BoVD to have a part of YOURSELF (your tongue) touching the ground. If it's not too high, even giving yourself a +5-10 reach should do the trick - it's really up to the player's creativity, like many things in the game 8)

Yeah, the "changing attitude" houserule is on, plus I've seen the Diplomancer using Intimidate to render his enemy covering on an Arena event
