The systems I play are mainly:

  • DND 3.5E - Mainly a DM, but occasional player.
  • Vampire - Mainly a player, but occasional GM.
  • Werewolf and Hunter - Occasional player.
  • Kult - Occasional GM.

I've been...

1992-1995: Seeker
1995-2000: Explorer
2000-2002: Occasional player
2002-today: Frequent player and GM

comment How do I force a party from the Astral Plane?
I for one, would love to see how players handle the encounter if their toughest fighter is dismissed on round 1.

comment Can I roll for a PC in secret?
@Roger: perhaps that's an answer in itself? Also, in my experience, players like to roll dice (I know I do)... having them to roll randomly and rolling yourself randomly sounds like sound advice for the OP.

comment How many epic spell seeds can you know?
I understood it the same way. Seeds are mostly a way of letting the DM figure out how to set the DC, reach, and limitations of an Epic spell.

comment How do I get my players to make their own decisions?
Nice answer.. there's the reminder that something happens even if they don't make a choice (might be something worse than if they did). And the insight that they're probably deferring to the GM (this one I hadn't thought about).

comment What makes an adventure interesting?
@frrlod I agree with Brian.. as it stands, this question is opinion based and could be rephrased. In the meantime, check this question or the new-gm tag altogether.

comment How do I create a treasure map for a pirate campaign?
Agree. To me, it sounds like you're looking for tips for the content of the maps (because of the emphasis on riddles); but since we already have an answer that mentions tips on creating props it's best to narrow it down. For all we know, you're looking for tips on the "icons" you should use on your maps.

comment What's a good random dungeon generator for D&D 3.5?
Sorry, I haven't added that functionality. I do have a monster database but I haven't yet included encounters into the dungeons.

Mention that Inkwell doesn't generate dnd-3.5e stuff.

comment How can I replace a player character with an impostor without alerting the group?
Could help if you have that player agree/accept (in front of the others) for you to roleplay his character as if it were an NPC (you could argue that you'll need all the party present for the next session's encounters).

comment 3 enchanted items to cast ritual - D&D
@RMDan, also keep in mind that you get to decide who created the pots. It could be a god, if you wish.

comment How does one become a god?
Worth noting that in Forgotten Realms, Karsus' avatar is supposedly the only spell that ever allowed the caster to become a god. Two caveats: it would last only for the spell's duration and Mystra restricted the use of magic afterwards.

comment Can an undead cleric resurrect himself?
+1 Nice answer. There's one "hurdle" left out though: Would the now-undead and now-evil creature be willing to be destroyed and then resurrected to a good-aligned God? (or it could be an addendum to hurdle #1)
