How do touch spells work in Pathfinder? Mind you, I want to read the HtC rules the way you are suggesting -- and in practice pretty much do. But ignoring what seems to me a plainer reading of the rules bugs me, and I still would really like to know what I lose by ignoring the "do it all in one round" rule that I start the question with. |

How do touch spells work in Pathfinder? Bah, you're right about MEP being a bad example. I'll find a better one. About the holding the charge rules, they don't seem applicable. Or at least, they seem directly in conflict with the cited rule. It is strongly implied that discharging the spell is a singular event; if it's not, then the HtC rules should clarify that. |

Responding to players paying exclusively with gold coins The players don't need to keep track of this; their characters can. This is not about making the players track coppers, it's about how the game world should react to their characters doing things that are alien to it. The player could just say "I pay what I owe" or even "I pay twice his asking price", and this can entail no bookkeeping whatsoever. |

Animated dead in challenge ratings @litheohm You've got that backwards. They can create up to twice their CL in HD per casting and can control up to four times their CL in HD. The correct reference is d20srd.org/srd/spells/animateDead.htm ; controlling undead is a different power. |
