Single player games suitable for session preparation This seems fun :) The drawbacks doesn't matter, I am mostly looking for ideas for running games, so everything is useful :) |

Single player games suitable for session preparation Your comment is valid. I don't want to exclude players, I simply just wanted to have fun with it :-) Besides, players shouldn't know everything ;-) |

Single player games suitable for session preparation I have actually thought about reading up on the Dresden Files RPG, to use the system for a WoD game. Making PC's integral characters in the setting boosts player (and DM) enjoyment in any game :) Besides, I dislike the Storyteller system, so FATE my suit my playing needs better. |

Single player games suitable for session preparation I've heard about that one. This makes me want to look into it even more, even though it wasn't exactly what I was looking for :) |

Covertly casting a spell I upvoted this answer for one reason: Wizards and sorcerers are supposed to be all about raw magical power. Bards, on the other hand, are all about trickery and deceit. What you want is the purview of a bard, in my humble opinion. |

Creating the setting with the players By the way, what is kingdom? Can you supply a link? |

Creating the setting with the players I must admit that I have never, ever, EVER experienced players complain when I make something up, just because it didn't fit their preconceptions of the setting, just as I would never object to players having an interesting background, just because it didn't fit my preconceptions about what the players wanted in the campaign. Roleplaying is a collaborative effort, not a simple boardgame. |

Creating the setting with the players I am intrigued by Microscope. I must admit, I've never heard of it before. Sounds awesome though :) |

Creating the setting with the players Wow, this is GREAT :D I never thought about doing it like this, making setting, THEN characters. In my head, the character creation step should REVEAL the setting, but looking back on it, it was kind of dumb :) +1! |

Staying in character and taking it all seriously Actually, I have been cruising indie RPG's a lot lately, and I do feel I learn a lot about what I really like about roleplaying. I have a hard time finding a danish gaming forum, where I can look for groups with desires similar to mine. I think the problem is that gaming is very stereotyped in Denmark, and in my experience everyone play either D&D, WoD or Shadowrun. The indie games doesn't get much love. In my experience at least. |

Staying in character and taking it all seriously This answer is great. I gave me kind of a new perspective on the problem. I think I will try going through these issues when I start up my Pendragon campaign, which I believe really benefits from this kind of immersion. Thank you for the great answer :) |

Fast-paced and brutal rpg system The idea for the system seems great. I really like the idea. I actually think I will go with this :) I might improvise a slightly more generic low-fantasy metasetting though. |

Fast-paced and brutal rpg system I do like the sound of this one. I've never tried Savage Worlds, but I've only heard good things about it. |

Fast-paced and brutal rpg system It is not the scaling hp in and of itself, it's more the fact that some enemies are harmless no matter how many there are, at least after some point in character progression. I think this is somewhat covered in my question. |

Fast-paced and brutal rpg system I know this system, and it's not that I dislike as such, I'm just not overly fond of it. Besides, I sold my collection of 7-8 books around 4 or 5 years ago. |
