I'm an electrical engineering student with a computer science minor at the City College of New York. I do programming work for the Metropolitan Transit Authority, and do a fair amount of hobby-coding for web sites and computer game modifications.

comment How to add and use a luck stat?
@JonathanHobbs I took “implements Luck as a seventh ability score,” as the requirement. I’m also unsure that’s specific enough, but it does imply a lot of things that should be taken into account in an answer, and while there’s definitely a lot of room for opinion, there are at least some fairly objective metrics to consider in an implementation. I think between that and the usual Good Subjective/Bad Subjective rules, an answer of “I did this and it worked great,” is pretty clearly a good answer. Mine is more “I’m extrapolating from something I’ve done that’s worked great,” which is eh, but.

@OnlyD20CanJudgeMe It was tangential to my answer, but I cannot stress enough how much I think “punishing” her for not being as involved is a terrible idea. It clearly isn’t going to work, since she’s ignoring it, and it will cause you serious headaches down the line as the level difference becomes significant. A single level in 3.x is huge. Two, massive. Three, basically a gap that’s just about unbridgeable, barring wildly different optimization levels.

comment Can all 3 uses of Metamagic School Focus be used on the same spell?
You should clarify that it’s still once per metamagic.

comment Can the Oracle Mystery Brain Drain be used to gather surface thoughts?
I'd be even more explicit, "Interaction with Existing Rules" or something.

I think your header could be clearer. It wasn't until the end of the answer that I understood that you meant interaction with other rules; I thought you meant character interaction with other characters.

This is very similar to the experience that I've had recently. I enjoyed the game, the characters, the people, but just couldn't really get into it and frequently became distracted; simple fact of the matter was that I didn't have the energy to get involved due to real life.

Note that it is pretty trivial to kill the tarrasque with much fewer XPs.

comment Is the Pathfinder FAQ considered RAW?
I'd downvote you regardless and you know that, but to point out a particularly important point: the situation with the 3.5 FAQ is not the same, as Wizards themselves officially stated that it is not and should not be used as errata, and that the FAQ can and will be "wrong" from time to time and if that happens it should be ignored.

@Tridus It's official material, but it's not necessarily rules material. The salient point is this: if the FAQ and the books disagree, is the FAQ considered to trump or correct the books? In 3.5, the errata rules explicitly said no, only official explicit errata documents can do that. Pathfinder... is silent on the issue.
