comment Metafictional Lovecraft in a Call of Cthulhu campaign
I've just been pointed (via a different route) to a certain, similarly metafictional comic "Lovecraft is Missing". The first few pages seem really interesting and nicely done. I'll have to try and read the whole thing someday soon.

No (but the Amazon reviews don't really seem to favor it.)

Check these two questions and their answers, I think you may find them useful: Is there a system for modeling insanity in d20 3.5? and Introduce CoC d20's spell costs into DnD3.x

comment How does nWoD's Secret History (The God Machine) chapter relate to the other core books?
@Jadasc I'm sure you're aware of this, but WW seems to have started an official chronicle detailing the God Machine etc. I haven't had the chance to read it yet... except for the excerpt whose "The Truth" section confirms that it all was just mysterious, mad rambling... until now. Do you think it would be worth updating the Q and your A somehow? Or start a new one and reference that one here in an edit?

comment Please stop giving the town sheriff a noogie!
@LitheOhm The "are you sure" approach is not really in-game (which you asked for), imo, but it might work indeed. (I thought you've already tried that.)

@mxyzplk Sure. But higher levels mean more than simply higher skills, obviously, and I'm not sure I'd want that, especially in CoC.
