comment How to do mystery based storytelling in Fate?
I did test test this approach on Fate games. In my experience, its success relies on getting the players onboard with the idea. People who had only played D&D before were my biggest challenge, and brand new players who played for the first time were quite quick to get into the mindset.

comment What better not to use Fate Core for?
I think this question is on the edge of "good subjective". The the two answers so far seem to be helpful. Let's keep it open for a while and see what sort of answers it attracts.

That is called a stunt in Fate terms :)

comment How do I implement a deferred pain stunt into dresden files?
… and be careful about Fate Fallacy #1: Stress is not damage.

@kyoryu, agreed :)

comment Why are certified credsticks 'banded' in shadowrun?
Sorry, I'm missing the original books now. This piece of information is a distant memory only :D That's how we took it to be when we played and it made sense

comment How does it work when swarms or mobs take stress in Fate Core or Accelerated?
@kyoryu, I see no rule there binding the number of stress boxes to the number of thugs. There's an example doing that but it's an example, not a rule.

comment How are units converted to metric in translations of D&D 3.5?
They should have kept the US standard measures. It definitely adds to the medieval look and feel of the game. ;)

comment How can I make puzzles a challenge for the character, rather than the player?
Makes you wonder why this was downvoted. It's a perfectly good answer. +1

comment Can you put high-power aspects on starting characters in Fate Core?
I'd compel "Fastest man alive" during a sex scene :D

comment What happens if I concede a fight to someone who only wants me dead?
Consider that refusing a concession is also risky for an opponent. He could also find himself on the bad side of things. It is always wiser to accept something that's acceptable. The dice may roll either way, and a previously refused opponent may become less merciful then

comment Looking for an RPG portraying dogfights and fighter pilots
Well, not directly, but I appropriated some of its features (including dogfights) for another Fate game. I think it counts for what you are asking for. Little time to write now but I will update my answer later.

@Phil, just did that, thanks

comment How to bring a player to not exclusively rely on his rote spells?
@thedarkwanderer, I agree. It should flow naturally from the story, not as a punishment for minmaxing.

And it helps if you yourself shed the combat/utility distinction. Conflict is conflict. Mechanically it makes little difference whether weapons or words are involved.

comment How to bring a player to not exclusively rely on his rote spells?
Do hit them where they are not prepared. It will make them think twice before minmaxing like that. All rote and no ritual makes Harry a dull boy. They will either evolve their characters to better handle varied cases or make better characters after their current one dies a slow agonizing death from that powerful ancient curse.

@Adeptus you're right. I need to edit :)

comment Is there a class-and-level system that encourages horizontal character development?
I think you will like that it's possible to gain moves from other classes' playbooks.

comment How do the Injury and Death mechanics work (Flow Chart)
@bennyboy, it's still best practice to leave the question as a question rather than a pointer to the meta discussion. Here is the link to the related meta. I rolled it back to its last "question-like" state.

Or they kill his friends and don't dig him out, which could be worse.
