comment How do you encourage group decisions over individual actions?
And depending on the situation and the system, if Player 1's actions required a move, since you've moved into a melee paradigm between the two, Player 2 might get to employ whatever Attack of Opportunity rules you have to stop Player 1's movement and force them to engage Player 2 first...

comment Does the Sleep spell use current or maximum hit points?
I assume unconscious creatures are ignored because they're not awake, which may or may not have anything to do with their hit points. Remember, 0 hit points makes you unconscious, but being unconscious doesn't mean you have 0 hit points. You may just be sleeping...

comment What would be the weight of the Tome of the Unicorn?
Yeah, although I suspect there's little practical difference between a half-ton book and a one ton book. Plus if it's got less than a dozen pages you're gonna need a friend to help you turn them...

@SevenSidedDie Sorry, but in the link, you've typed "squared", not "cubed". Not to mention the fact that, online calculators aside, it's 3 ft by 2 ft by 4 inches, so it's well under 1 cubic meter.

Wow, tough day for the math, I guess. 3,456 cubic inches is actually 56633 cubic cm, putting the weight more in the 680 kg to 900 kg range.

comment Can flanking become irrelevant due to creature sizes?
And the I guess changing their positions would follow the same restrictions as though they were moving in the spaces around the target, with the exception that they're not restricted by the occupants of those squares, although I suppose they'd subject themselves to AoO from those creatures as they moved. Of course, if you stuff too many little creatures into this model, I suspect it'll come apart in your hands. ;-) At that point, anybody in the mix who has an ally is probably flanking everybody else...

In addition to uncomfortable and obvious, you might add "socially unacceptable" or even down-right illegal in some cultures, perhaps lumped in with mind-reading and charms.
