I'm mostly on RPG.stackexchange.com, but also check Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Stackoverflow. I'm currently GMing and/or playing OD&D, AD&D 2e and Stars Without Number campaigns. I use C# (in Unity3d) and Python when writing code.

What are the literary influences of the D&D Bard? In 2e, there's a Complete Book of [Every Class], including Bards. There's some options for dwarves, elves, and gnomes to be bards there. However, it's mostly other bard-like tropes that are introduced instead of the 'classic' bard. |

How can I create a Prisoner's Dilemma-style choice in Paranoia? +1 If I do the iterative Prisoner's Dilemma, I'll be using an undefined number of iterations, as otherwise the logical option is to betray in all cases. |

How can I create a Prisoner's Dilemma-style choice in Paranoia? I like it! It's simple, clean and easy to implement. However, I think to make it perfect, the penalty for the players should be lower if they both betray each other. |

Can anyone teach a new player to play Pathfinder? Hi and welcome to the site. Sadly, this question is not likely to remain open as it is too broad in its scope (see the faq). I suggest you read the books, learn the system and then post any specific questions you have here. |

What alternatives are there to replace orcs, kobolds, and hobgoblins in low-level encounters? +1 for arm bandits with clubs. In some editions, clubs are free, meaning they're the ultimate weapon for poor/cheap forces, but still pack a punch and can be thrown. Also, a classic example of a single creature of higher level as a challenge is a Carrion Crawler, imo |
