Earthdawn dice roll probabilities That entire paper is composed of advanced math that is probably understood by at most 5% of the Earthdawn playing population, probably far less. I think you need to dumb it down a lot until someone who hasn't even taken calculus can understand it before you call it "quite easy". |

Earthdawn dice roll probabilities In Earthdawn, there are "Horrors", which are like Cthulhu type extra-dimensional demon-things that feed upon the process of inflicting negative emotions on others. They often mark individuals and then cause them to go insane and then point them in the direction of a settlement and let the mayhem ensue, feeding off of all the suffering. It's basically impossible to negotiate with either end of that process. In this specific encounter within the adventure, the mad Nethermancer is supposed to be killed or run away from, not talked to. |

Earthdawn dice roll probabilities Oh yeah, I tried to get my group to run away several round in a row against that guy; the obsidiman swordmaster backed off, but the t'skrang swordmaster refused to back down even after being put exactly 1 away from unconscious. The next attack missed, but the one after that killed him instantly. Next session, the same player's new character got knocked unconscious instantly by a lightning lizard, and then later after healing an insane obsidiman punched him dead in 1 strike (41 damage armor defeating). Some people just have bad luck >_> |
