comment Dealing with Tome of Battle's power inflation
This is more a comment on the original Tier posting's solutions to mixed tier. Jason posted a few ideas. They are all meh, IMO. So it's only very tenuously connected to the original question. If you feel it would be a good enough answer to stand on its own, I'll repost it.

My DM bans tier 1 and 2, and allows 4 to gestalt with 5. 3 (these classes) are played as normal. So a warblade is up against a fighter with warlock invocations and such. It actually works out ok. Only really exploitable thing is A-Game Paladin and going Sword of the Arcane Order + From Smite to Song to get 4 levels of wizard casting with Divine Metamagic onto a full bab class with amazing saves. And that's still only tier 3. There is nothing about ToB that is broken. The best advice I can give is to flat out replace the paladin, monk, and fighter with crusader, sword sage, and warblade.

comment Differences between D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder
@MatteoTassinari It's just you, IMO. half elf has a few tricks they can do (Paragon Surge until your DM bans it), but bonus feat is hard to compete with. The ACF to get 3 skill focus feats or a second +2 is pretty hardcore

comment Differences between D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder
@RobertF Probably because the core races that get penalties to strength are all small. Plus, strength penalties make for fairly bad warriors of any type: even archers. Additionally, D&D hasn't been LotR: The RPG for a few decades now and Pathfinder has it's own, anime influenced, world and design. So dragging Tolkien into it makes as much sense as pulling soccer rules into a discussion on football.

comment Best Healing Potion Possible
@KRyan "Magic Items and Metamagic Spells: With the right item creation feat, you can store a metamagic version of a spell in a scroll, potion, or wand. Level limits for potions and wands apply to the spell's higher spell level (after the application of the metamagic feat). A character doesn't need the metamagic feat to activate an item storing a metamagic version of a spell." - d20pfsrd.com/feats/metamagic-feats

comment How can I pass through a Blade Barrier?
Iron bathtub - Approx. 1/2" thick? Hardness 10, Hp 15. So It should provide protection until the blade barrier rips through it

comment How are Pathfinder Fighters different from D&D 3.5 Fighters in the first 6 levels of play?
Don't forget that at 4th level a fighter can trade out a bonus feat for a new one. IIRC 3.5 didn't have that option.
