Currently DMing the War of the Burning Sky for D&D 3.5, as well as playing a bard in 4th edition.
I started out with the Jedko Games printing of Frank Mentzer's red box (the 'B' in BECMI), which was quickly followed by the 2nd edition AD&D Player's Handbook. After a long hiatus, I started playing D&D again after the release of the Baldur's Gate PC game renewed my interest in the pen and paper version. Likewise, I only started playing 3rd edition after I was solidly addicted to Neverwinter Nights.
I've played (and GMed) a lot of Palladium games, particularly Robotech and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My roleplaying group were also fans of R. Talsorian Games' Cyberpunk and Cyberpunk 2020. I've also played Rolemaster and HARP, as well as Earthdawn.

Where can I find a horror adventure/campaign writing guide? I had a feeling it might be. There's really no other book like it (except perhaps for GURPS Horror 3ed, which was also written by Ken Hite...) |

Where can I find a horror adventure/campaign writing guide? The book that you are talking about sounds a lot like "Nightmares of Mine" by Ken Hite, although that isn't a Ravenloft book at all. ISBN: 1-55806-367-6 |

Where can I find a horror adventure/campaign writing guide? How old is old? Ravenloft was first published in 1983. Do you remember roughly how long ago it was that you read it? There was a Ravenloft Dungeon Master's Guide for D20 published by White Wolf, which is still available as a PDF: |

As a GM, how do I keep Dungeons & Dragons more interesting for young players? Don't count on having an extended campaign, from 1st until 10th level or something like that. In my experience, you'll have a few false starts before you find something that they keep coming back to. 5 room dungeons (roleplayingtips.com/articles/5_room_dungeons.html) are a great idea for distilling D&D down to "just the fun bits" |
