How do I, as a DM, help a girl integrate into a group of all male role-players? +1 for "just treated as another player". I am a girl gamer who's played in many groups and all I want is to be treated just like everyone else. Your girl gamer is there to have fun, just like the rest of you. |

Good techniques for getting player-character backgrounds integrated into the game? @Capt.Pantsless All right, I'll add my answer tomorrow morning (it's way late here and I rather suspect you'd prefer a coherent answer... :) ) |

Good techniques for getting player-character backgrounds integrated into the game? So when you say "integrated" story do you mean you want all their backstories to be tied into the same plot, like somehow they are all related to each other under the same plot point? Or do you want all the backstories to be integrated into the overarching plot, but not necessarily related to each other? (It's a fine line but one requires eitiher preplanning on the players' parts or lots of contrived coincidences on yours; the other doesn't.) |

Is it common to wear costumes when (tabletop) roleplaying? I agree that it's exceptionally rare (wondering if I should edit my answer to make that more clear); but I did want to point out that it does happen sometimes. |

Any free and private wiki-like services for campaign tracking? +1, I want to know the answer because my group's having the same problem. We've tried PBworks and Wikispaces and neither of them fit the bill. |

Resources for Complex Puzzle-Traps I've been looking through this book and I'm in love. Nothing in here has to be lethal, and it all requires some real ingenuity to solve. Plus, tons of bonus flavor text and dungeon ideas. Thanks! |

Resources for Complex Puzzle-Traps Having looked through the first book, unfortunately Grimtooth's Traps is exactly the kind of trap I don't want. These traps are mostly designed to main or kill characters, often with little chance to save themselves beyond a perception check or saving throw. I'm looking for something that requires the players to think, rather than roll skills. |
