@RenanMalkeStigliani: Great idea to incorporate the language problem into the actual game. Would happy to upvote it as an answer as well. That makes me think of a near futuristic setting where people of different backgrounds may be forced to come together.

@Flamma: That is true. English is a language we all speak well but none of us is a native speaker nor are we speaking any other language in common (well, not all of us at least).

@Zachiel: I don't really know. The Dark Eye's context is a fantasy world but in general it is pretty similar to medieval or renaissance Europe so we automatically kind of use vocabulary that suits this setting. Thank you for the Warhammer Fantasy tip.
