In an even fight, how many rounds does a typical monster need to drop a PC? Rather than error bars, you'd want distributions of time-to-live. Of course, constructing that requires a lot more data than finding the average... |

How often should players be advancing? By high stat do you mean their primary stat or just a stat >= 1? Also, my players seem to have for various reasons almost consistently got Sharp highlighted, which means that in conversations they leap to Read. |

What should I look out for during my first game of Apocalypse World? Re: Say Yes not being an AW rule; I dunno. It's not an AW rule in the sense of that's how to decide when to roll the dice, but I feel the underlying principle still applies; that all rolls should be important and relevant, and that you don't make the players roll for small things. Especially given AW's thing about the MC making as hard a move as they like on a miss. |

How do I handle difficulty in Apocalypse World? Thanks for the breakdown! And yea, not sure how I missed that that discussion in the book was all about difficulty. |

What's a good way to design and layout an Apocalypse World playbook? Sweet, that sounds awesome. Looking forward to it! |

What's a good way to design and layout an Apocalypse World playbook? Very thorough response, thanks! What would it take to convince you to release the nearlyfinished ConTeXt template? Even unfinished, a LaTeX-family thing sounds a lot easier to work with — and not having to wrestle Scribus into porting the template into the trifold format is just a bonus. |
