Can a character purposefully “fall” to avoid incurring an Opportunity Attack? @AceCalhoon The PC only gets an OA if the falling creature does not go through the trap door. So I would roll to see if it would break through when it started falling. If it would I'd then tell the PC that the creature plummeted out of the air and slammed through a hidden trap door in the ground. If they asked I'd tell them they couldn't get an OA. tl;dr Roll in advance so you know if the creature is going through or not. |

Can a character purposefully “fall” to avoid incurring an Opportunity Attack? @SteveC A falling opponent would trigger when he went from the square that is above the square he landed on (assuming a direct downwards motion). Remember that when dealing with 3D combat you threaten 26 square: the 8 around you, 9 above you and 9 below you. |

Can a character purposefully “fall” to avoid incurring an Opportunity Attack? @AceCalhoon if your opponent goes through the trap door then he fell past you hence no AoO. If your opponent does not trigger the trap door then he did not go past you hence you do get an AoO. |

How to communicate to the players that an encounter can be solved also through diplomacy? Put them into an encounter they can't possibly win where diplomacy is the only option. Once they figure out it works, they may try using it in other encounters |

What happens when a phasing creature cannot end its movement in an unobstructed space? I'm like a marine drill seargent. My players live in a constant state of anticipation of pain, but feel accomplished at the end of the day. And they all have a high survival rate when they go on to other games |

How to add a player who joined after the campaign started? Drop the new character onto the party from 100 feet up. Once they heal him, he'll be obliged to tag along and help them out |

Finding alternatives to rogues in campaigns Bards always remind me of a movie 'The Gamers 2'. It contains the line "quickly, hide behind the pile of dead bards!". Pure awesomeness |
