I'm a web developer currently living in Santiago, Chile. I'm always trying to improve my skills. I earn my daily bread on PHP / (My|PostGre)SQL / JavaScript development, working with CakePHP, PrototypeJS, Script.aculo.us and jQuery, but I'm also experimenting with Django. I'm interested in many areas of programming and in learning new programming languages.

I'm also a budding roleplayer and GM. I have mastered D&D 4E and Numenera, and love the job. Find me at @adrianovaroli or @FailedGM.

I've incorporated this in my answer.

comment Will trading the Monk Martial Arts feature for the Grappling Feat cause problems?
My concern is with something else. I say this as respectfully as I can: if your character "is OK with his friends or minions wreaking havoc" she is not a pacifist. If you want to play a pacifist, play a cleric that doesn't leave her temple. Play a ranger that always tries diplomacy.

comment How to create a dungeon based on a realistic tomb, but still enjoyable to explore?
I guess it offers little options: one path, one main room, two adjacent rooms, and that's it.

I asked the same on Google+. This bit there nailed it: "Giving the PCs XP for crafting an artifact they just spent XP to make doesn't make any sense and is over complicated, which Numenera is not."

@darkliquid your interpretation flies against the face of every single project I've started and completed. I always learn something, and most times learn a lot in the process.

I personally interpret the spirit of the Ninth World to be "if you can design and build something new out of the remains of the past, you have also learned something". The XP gain would represent that. On the other hand, yes, it looks broken this way.

Have you tried contacting Caldwell directly? clydecaldwell.com/pages/contact.html has an email address.

comment Creating a character based off a historical figure
You can also see this with character naming. "Why is your D&D half-orc barbarian called 'Obi-wan'?"

Welcome to the site! I took the liberty of editing the title of the question to make it clearer.

I think the title is comprehensible now, and asks an actual question.
