I'm a web developer currently living in Santiago, Chile. I'm always trying to improve my skills. I earn my daily bread on PHP / (My|PostGre)SQL / JavaScript development, working with CakePHP, PrototypeJS, Script.aculo.us and jQuery, but I'm also experimenting with Django. I'm interested in many areas of programming and in learning new programming languages.

I'm also a budding roleplayer and GM. I have mastered D&D 4E and Numenera, and love the job. Find me at @adrianovaroli or @FailedGM.

comment If a power says 'move your speed', what happens while I'm prone?
To be fair, "Lightning Rush" is not "normal movement" either. Now, "movement other than crawling, teleporting or being... is prohibited" would be right, I guess.

comment How to deal with time sensitive decisions?
I feel there's a distinction in the third paragraph between urgency for the player and urgency for the character that's not dealt well in the last paragraph. While the ooze will consume her character's armor, and eventually the character, that doesn't mean the player must jump to act if she doesn't know what to do. The "fair amount of time" depends on your players and you. It seems like it's too much for you, obviously.

@KveldUlf The "narrative style play with limited pool of resources" is the Effort economy.

comment How to deal with a DM that doesn't listen to or cooperate with his co-DMs?
If by "force the DM to run..." you mean "using a gun to make the DM to run...", that's illegal, but possible. If you mean "cajole and bully and guilt-trip the DM to run..." that's also possible. Ditto for forcing players. I don't get why you think no one can force people to do something. This part-time DM is in fact, right now, forcing at least one person, or we wouldn't have this question.
