Point taken. I think a good reply is to take this rule and combine it with a different rule Stealth:You are skilled at avoiding detection, allowing you to slip past foes or strike from an unseen position. This skill covers hiding and moving silently. Put together it shows that stealth is specific to moving and hiding and invisibility would not help you do things other then that "stealthly"(such as casting a spell)

Perception is used to see stealth is what I meant, not that you cannot see well.

Re posting the original question text is not helpful. Especially in a game with thousands of rules, when asking the validity of rule A in situation B there is more to consider then just rule A.

So the point that is missed is you may miss your attack and have this touch attack hanging around. You can then get the AC out of the force shield and try again next turn to deliver the touch attack. Also it sounds like the sword hand has the touch all the time so dont have to mess with the shield hand.
