Started playing rpgs with ADnD 2nd edition in 1993. I have played DnD3, MAGUS (Hungarian RPG), Star Wars (original and d20), Firefly, Shadowrun (3, 4 and 5), Cyberpunk, World of Darkness (Vampire, Werewolf and Mage) and Earthdawn. Used to GM Cyberpunk, MAGUS and DnD.
So far my favorite is DnD4.

I prefer the fighting and problem solving aspects of the games, exploring is ok, but I do not like the acting. Those are like cut-scenes between battles for me. Accordingly, I am a heavy optimizer, build my characters around a good feature set rather than a vague feeling of cool.

Butt-Kicker: You like a streightforward combat character. After a long day at the office, you want to clobber foes and once more prove your superiority over all who would challenge you.

comment Attacking with a blade in main hand while holding a bow in off-hand in 4e?
The bigger problem here is if you try to do ranged and melee attacks equally well, you will end up sucking at them both. Always specialize!

comment Is knocking someone prone worth it?
This is what I meant, zombies are many, and all of them attacks in melee. Proning is good in this situation. But for the usual party?

The Help action only gives advantage for the first attack.

comment Would a fight against a higher level minion work out well or badly?
plus 7 levels mean 7*5=35% difference. 60-35=25% hit chance, 40+35=75 being hit chance.

comment Creating Phil Taylor the darts champion in D&D 5e
It was a design principle that with more risk, you should get more reward. This is the reason two-handed weapons do more damage than ranged weapons. If you outdamage a melee Fighter with your homebrew feat, that feat is overpowered.

@GMNoob Calculation added, now it is even worse. Do not play with darts outside of a pub :)
