Aug 8, 2019 at 12:42 comment added Nagromxela Xela Well, this post is very old but I will answer how the problem was solved. I didn't have time to use any advice anyone suggested. He did things that were very rude and potentially damaging to people in the group and the whole friend group dropped him. So we never played that campaign again. Everyone was enjoying the story of his campaign just not the way he was running it. All the advice people left here was really good and I will come here should I ever face this problem again. Thanks, everyone! Also, is this self answering my question? I have only used SE twice so I'm just unsure.
Aug 7, 2019 at 1:43 comment added V2Blast Relevant meta: “Update: here's how it worked out…” Where does it go? Rather than editing an update explaining the outcome of the answer whose advice you followed into the end of your question, you should either leave the relevant information as a comment on the answer whose advice you followed (if applicable), or as a self-answer to your own question (if you followed the advice of a mixture of answers, or didn't follow any of them). Also, if you have a new question, you should ask it separately, rather than editing your existing post.

Dec 11, 2017 at 13:58 comment added Nagromxela Xela Thank you for the answers guys. The situation has gotten worst and I believe I will be leaving the group. I'm just not sure about how to go about telling them that. If I leave another player will also leave. I have updated my original status.

Dec 5, 2017 at 19:39 comment added Acccumulation Does the DM have a lot of experience being a player? Perhaps you can try to get him to compare how he runs games to how games have been run when he's been a player, and think about how he would feel if he were a player in game run like he runs them.

Dec 5, 2017 at 13:41 comment added Mołot "Another player" - only one? How many players are in your group? By the way, I seriously sympathize. Sometimes I have to railroad my players for some time, but at least I'm doing my best to make them feel I didn't.

for future finding, definitely needs the [railroading] tag, even if the asker doesn't know to describe the situation that way

removed Pathfinder tag, as the question is not Pathfinder specific, and could be of benefit to other games, regardless of version.
