Here's some reading for you to check out in the meantime: • Stack Exchanges' behaviour policy: Be Nice. • Why we expect answers to go beyond suggestions to give worked experience: Good Subjective/Bad Subjective, a.k.a. the “Back It Up!” principle. • Once you have earned 5 reputation you can post on Role-playing Games Meta, which is the question list that is about this site itself, and ask any further questions you have about how the site works.

Mar 9, 2018 at 15:37 | comment | added | SevenSidedDie | Please read our rules. Your responses are doing your account damage because you appear to not have read the basic terms of engagement here. Among other things, the assumption of good faith is required by the rules. Explicitly saying you assumed bad intentions in you latest comment is yet another violation of our rules. These are not effective defenses of your actions as being acceptable, because you haven't read our rules yet.
Mar 8, 2018 at 17:58 | comment | added | SevenSidedDie | @Arctomachine Calling people names — you called someone “narrowminded” — is against our acceptable use policy here, and standard response to comments that violate terms of use is deletion. See the help center. Mods' jobs include enforcing policy. You now have two moderators informing you of the policy. As a new user here, we will make allowances for being unfamiliar, but we expect that once informed by a site mod it will be followed. Note that your next comment would not have been removed, except you included the insult “selfish” in violation our acceptable use policy. Please read the rules.

Mar 7, 2018 at 17:55 | comment | added | doppelgreener | Right, the issue is we expect people providing homebrew to be able to cite actual experience of how it works out; their own or someone else's. We don't gather “this might work” guesses.
Mar 7, 2018 at 17:04 | comment | added | Arctomachine | @Conduit you cannot be sure of anything working to you unless you try it for yourself. Anyway, by giving a try to different solutions topicstarter will make an experience which is enough to determine what is good and what is not in their particular case.
Mar 7, 2018 at 16:59 | comment | added | Arctomachine | @doppelgreener As simple related as it sounds. My opinion is following: "By attacking one of us he hurts our party. By hurting our party he makes himself an enemy for our party." You can play together, but you can play any role in a role-played game. Somebody wants to play super villain, why not? If you want everyone to be happy with their chosen roles, form a world where every role meets the same amount of resistance so that only the most persistent and strong-willed players can go against this whole world and a majority of other players.
Mar 7, 2018 at 16:56 | comment | added | Conduit | Generally we ask that you have playtested homebrew content as a solution to the asker's problem (see this faq). This may work great in Eve, but how can we be sure it works here?
Mar 7, 2018 at 16:30 | comment | added | doppelgreener | Even if they are looking for a PVP system — and I am sure they are not ("Naturally, some members of the party, particularly the barbarian, don't like this new rule and want a different system. So far, I am not willing to agree to this.") how does a PVP system for MMOs about intra party support against external opposition relate to a small group with intra party conflict? How have you used this in a game?
Mar 7, 2018 at 16:24 | comment | added | Arctomachine | @doppelgreener for me it is clear as day that topic starter himself stated his attempts to use "PvP is illegal here. You cannot PvP here. Live with it" approach does not meet a support from his audience so he asks for alternative approach, which is given

Mar 7, 2018 at 16:09 | comment | added | doppelgreener | This doesn't seem all that relevant to a small group of like 5-6ish players where the DM desires to prevent PVP altogether between members of the party.
