Sep 5, 2019 at 15:33 comment added tbrookside Did the GM know you had played the adventure before? If so, are you sure he didn't just move or re-arrange the loot? In other words, the loot may have been available, just not where you could speedrun to it.

Sep 5, 2019 at 15:09 comment added SevenSidedDie @HeyICanChan I think that may move it too far away from the actual problem lurking under the text, which seems to be something like “I know my GM is denying my group treasure; is that allowed?!” Making the subtext more explicit might work better, and more clearly make it a group conflict problem that can be solved by answers directly, with maybe some secondary delving into what’s supposed to happen/fair/whatever the answer chooses as support.

Sep 5, 2019 at 15:06 comment added Hey I Can Chan RE: "Is this fair or as GMs we are allowed to deny PCs these listed items from the Adventure Setting?" The site can't evaluate objectively what's fair and what's not for a particular campaign. However, if this can be narrowed to something like According to the text, what treasure should this encounter yield? the site can answer that. Also see this question.
Sep 5, 2019 at 15:04 comment added NotArch Is this is some sort of organized play or at a home table? If the latter, why do you think the DM doesn't have the ability to do what they'd like?
