If you assume you can do it, then your trick here seems to work out according to the wording of the arcane armor feature. | |

Rules as written, also no, unless we’re giving a pass to wearing to armors, then there’s a case for it. I don’t think the rules permit wearing both the armors in the question, but that wasn’t the problem you needed solving. If we assume that you can wear both armors, a strict and technical reading of the rules seems to allow the setup you describe. | |
