Jan 21, 2016 at 19:09 comment added Thunderforge You mentioned cortosis, and I would like to add that it is a material that completely shorts out lightsabers for a short time if it comes in contact with it. An enemy with a cortosis blade or cortosis armor would indeed completely disable a lightsaber as you are asking. I would use it sparingly through because if you rely on this more than once or twice, you'll probably wind up with unhappy players complaining that they can't ever use their lightsabers.
