Jul 11, 2016 at 0:18 comment added GMJoe @JesseCohoon True, that; Grappling wasn't the best example. My point was that you can be completely aware of the existence of a glamour without any ability to see through it, which is a bit different to the save-to-disbelieve-on-interaction mechanic that many other illusions have.
Jul 8, 2016 at 21:29 comment added Jesse Cohoon @GMJoe but being grappled (if you counter by grappling back, or even trying to escape the grapple), would count as an attack with plain invisibility (thus ending the spell) vs True Invisibility
Jul 8, 2016 at 3:51 comment added GMJoe Note that many glamours don't actually allow saving throws to disbelieve; You continue to perceive the illusion even if you know it's an illusion. Invisibility is the classic example: You can be perfectly aware there's an invisible creature in the room, and even grapple it, but you can't make a saving throw to see it.

Jul 7, 2016 at 16:13 comment added Hey I Can Chan @JesseCohoon While, for example, the spell greater shadow conjuration can simulate major creation to make a bridge, I'm pretty sure a Wiz13 has a better way than using her top-level spell to get her buddies across a chasm (cf. dimension door).

Jul 7, 2016 at 15:33 comment added Jesse Cohoon So can a caster tell his teammates to deliberately fail their save against an effect to be able to cross a chasm they've made a semi-real bridge to cross?
