As a fan of the Critical Role podcast, I'm looking into buying the podcast's Campaign Setting written by the host. However, Critical Role's campaign setting is for D&D 5e, while my group and I are much more comfortable with Pathfinder. As such, I'm planning to convert the setting (game mechanics mostly) from D&D 5e to Pathfinder if I were to run a campaign in this setting.

Have any of you had experience translating campaign settings from their intended game system to a different system? Is it feasible, even possible? Or is my group better off learning D&D if we want to run a game based in a D&D setting?

The answers you've posed are matters of discussion and opinion more appropriate to a forum -- I would suggest just telling us specifically what you'd like to translate and asking us how to do it. \$\endgroup\$ – doppelgreener Aug 10 '17 at 22:04

He spent a day with Taliesin alone creating the 5E gunslinger character \$\endgroup\$ – Richard C Jul 24 '20 at 21:11
