I'm starting a new self-designed campaign s a DM and want to know how many combat encounters I should plan for each session.
The chars will start at lvl 1 and there are 4 of them, we'll balanced group of PC's but the players are only mildly experienced with rpging. I plan to have them do some investigating in town and some trap/puzzles in a dungeon out of combat, so how many combat encounters a sessions do we think?
