If I were to fail a dexterity roll to unlock a chest, could I redo it next time? I know that if you fail a _skill challenge_ it is permanent, but are _skill checks_ the same, or can you redo them? If you could cite the page number describing this in the DMG or PH, I'd appreciate it.
