The Dresden Files RPG uses the fate engine, and is set in the world established in The Dresden Files books: Our modern world, except that there are hidden powers - wizards, vampires, werewolves, demons, and more - that most of the world is entirely unaware of. The novels, short fiction, and short-lived TV show follow Harry Dresden, the only wizard in Chicago's phone book.
