I'm primarily a board gamer, but I've been playing RPGs for over 25 years. First played D&D v2 (AD&D?) but I really didn't know what I was doing then. It wasn't until D&D v3.0 came out that I really got interested in it. I started GM'ing with v3.0 and now I'm almost exclusively the GM whenever I play. Always the GM, never the player.
I've been the GM for a lot of D&D v3.5 and Pathfinder 1e. I played some PFS at conventions as a player and as the GM for a few PFS scenarios and modules with home groups, but never at public events. There are too many hard-core players at conventions that make me shy away from GM'ing there. Currently ramping up on Pathfinder 2e in preparation of starting the Extinction Curse campaign as GM with my family as my kids are now old enough and are expressing an interest.
