I never know what to write here or even how to phrase it so here goes. . .Don’t judge me. . .
I’m a third year student at University, majoring in English Literature and Classical Civilisations. I love to read classic novels, have taken part in NaNoWriMo the last 3 years running and have won only once (last year). I have aspirations of becoming a publisher/editor of novels but we will see how far that goes. Thus far I’m having trouble just keeping up with life.
I’m an avid gamer particularly in the Tabletop RPG category. I’m an active DM, never running less than 2 games at any given time (fourth term 2009 I was running 4 games a week and playing in 3 others). I can run just about any D20 system but my heart will forever belonging to DND 3.5. I even created my own setting named Alendi and am currently running a game in that world 2 years in the works. I am also the forerunner in both old and new World of Darkness with Vampire: the Masquerade being my favorite but Wraith: the Oblivion catching up fast and Demon: the Fallen my new area of interest. I also am the vice chairlady of the Anime society who is trying hard to diversify.
I like to sit arbing in coffee shops for hours and sometimes whole days; doing work, chilling with friends and (quite shockingly) drinking coffee. There is an outdoor coffee shop named Cafè Blanca and we sit there usually because it if one of two locations that lets me indulge in another passion, smoking hubbly. (I’m under no delusions about the health risks etc. I just like the taste better than that of cigars or cigarettes.)I also think that in the interests of full disclosure, you should know that I have been a Pagan for the last 9 1/2 years now.
The other section of my life is that of my house. I’m one of those rare people who love to cook, bake, sew, knit, crochet, decoupage, and make pretty things for my house and me. Contrary to the belief of my friends and housemates, I do not take joy in cleaning but I do in a clean and presentable house and I know no one is going to clean it for me so I manifest a love of cleaning.
I think that is about all . . . oh and you will come to know and either love or hate my small obsession with ellipses . . .
