Feb 2, 2018 at 10:36 comment added Overthinks @Alessia depends really. This is a really context dependent question. The society, the familie's wealth and racism levels...
Feb 1, 2018 at 20:02 comment added Aviose @Overthinks but really, and I hate to be the one to say this because of the implications, the baby is probably better off not being reincarnated.

Feb 1, 2018 at 19:48 comment added Rubiksmoose @Aviose Reason #1 why I believe most DMs would(and probably should) allow a baby to be reincarnated as a baby. Nothing fun would (probably) come of the alternative.
Feb 1, 2018 at 19:45 comment added Mindwin Remember Monica @Aviose thinking on it: Caring for a baby in an adult's body would be horrible...
Feb 1, 2018 at 17:09 comment added Overthinks @Aviose, yeah. The baby to adult part occurred to me as I wrote the gnome to human example. Still, the alternative is a dead baby. Now that I give it more thought, this may be one of the only spells that...."remove" birth defects.

Feb 1, 2018 at 16:47 comment added Doval @guildsbounty Being a high level Oath of the Ancients Paladin is another option. Honorable mentions go to high level Druids and Undying Warlocks which age at 1/10th the speed. That'll let you live for thousands of years if you're an elf.
Feb 1, 2018 at 16:40 comment added KRyan @HeyICanChan Really, “young adult” isn’t a thing in 3e either. 3e has Adult, Middle-Aged, Venerable. I always just took “young adult” to mean “adult, but only just starting adulthood.”
Feb 1, 2018 at 16:38 comment added Hey I Can Chan @KRyan Does 5e make such distinctions like 3e does?
Feb 1, 2018 at 15:42 comment added Aviose Thinking on it; Reincarnating a baby into an adult body would be horrible...
Feb 1, 2018 at 15:26 comment added guildsbounty Of note: Reincarnate is one of the Paths to Immortality available in 5E. Because it resets your body to an 'adult,' just in a different species. Clone is the other option for this.
Feb 1, 2018 at 14:59 comment added KRyan It may be worth mentioning that previous editions specified a young adult body.
