Apr 23, 2018 at 21:39 | comment | added | HellSaint | As I mentioned in another comment, the main point of the question is to solve the problem once it is created, not exactly "don't create it" - e.g., rolling on secrecy solves the 1st problem by not creating it as well as your answer (and on a side note, this is indeed how I usually rule it - "you can't see any sign of the NPC to be lying"). I am more worried about the players' mindset that leads to the problem once the scenario is created. That's why there were several examples and the question is slightly more broad, but still specific. | |
