I definitely think that would’ve been a more helpful way to start the campaign considering it started with the npc scholar talking to the scholar pc and then trying to convince my character to take them to an island. I ended up having to procure the ship through gambling. When we got to the island there was nothing of value to my character as they told her and she attempted to leave the island without them unless they paid her off for her trouble. The other pc refused and I ended up having to take them back to port anyway. It was a bit frustrating. | |
